Volunteer Expectations

Spiritual:
  • A growing, daily walk with the Lord.
  • We are worship leaders at all times, even if behind a computer. We show up with a heart for service and joyful attitude to serve.
  • Must be part of a Connect Group. Tech Team is not a substitute for community.

Time Commitment:
  • Serve 2 Sundays per month, usually every other week.
  • We try to limit serving to one service, so you can still participate in Connect Group or worship with your spouse. However, sometimes you may need to serve both services or fill-in for another team member.
  • 8am call time to rehearse with the band (unless serving 11am only).
  • There is occasionally a Wednesday night rehearsal, but this has been rare.

Communications & Scheduling:
  • We use a tool called Planning Center Services to schedule services and volunteers. You will get a welcome email and will need to set a password for yourself.
  • You can access it either through your browser or their mobile app. The app is helpful but not required. 
  • You will get automated emails about schedule requests and reminders for when you’re scheduled. You can usually respond to requests directly from each email, or you can reach out to the scheduler directly.
  • We try to schedule two months at a time. You may be asked to log in to Planning Center to “block out” dates you are unavailable.
  • We also occasionally communicate via group texts for last minute needs.
