About Canton First Baptist

Canton First Baptist Church is a multi-generational family of Jesus-followers. We passionately follow God's word, worship Jesus together, and live on mission to make disciples of Christ.

Based in Canton, Georgia, we welcome people from all around Cherokee County. We serve our community of Canton, a vibrant and growing town that straddles the Atlanta metro and foothills of the North Georgia mountains. Whether you're in Canton, Holly Springs, Hickory Flat, Waleska, Ball Ground, Lake Arrowhead, or even Woodstock, we want to journey with you as we seek the Lord.

While Sunday morning is our main time of gathering, you'll find community throughout the week through a variety of Connect Groups, volunteer teams, studies, events, and other opportunities. Be part of our church family today.

What To Expect

What is the service like?
Our Sunday services feature worship, teaching, and prayer and is inclusive of all generations. Both services are identical. Each service is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Worship is a blend of modern anthems and traditional hymns, led by a band, choir, and orchestra. Teaching involves an engaging sermon based on a particular passage of Scripture, usually part of a series. For a full picture of our service, watch our live stream here.

What should I wear?
CFB is a welcoming family with many backgrounds. You'll find people wearing everything from t-shirt and jeans to their favorite suits. The important thing? Come ready to worship!

Is there Sunday School / small groups?
Yes, we have small groups called Connect Groups that meet during both service hours. Some groups meet during the week as well. Connect Groups are very similar to Sunday school classes but with an emphasis on deeper connection, and you can join one at any time. Visit the Guest Services desk when you arrive or see more about Connect Groups here.

Is childcare available?
Yes, we have a nursery for birth through toddlers and children's classes available for pre-K to 6th grade. Check-in on the first floor, where a trained volunteer will help you check-in your child, print a name badge, and answer any questions you have.

Can my family stay together?
Absolutely - you may bring your kids with you into the main worship service. If at any time you need to check your child into our kids program, please head down to the first floor check-in desk.

How soon should I arrive before the service?
It's best to arrive at least 10 minutes in advance so you'll have time to find a seat and meet some new friends. If you are checking-in children, we recommend arriving 15 minutes early.
